Hi! I'm using StoreBox template on Joomla 3.3.1 with VirtueMart 2.9. I've also installed News Show Pro GK5 but the moment I try to use VM Categories or Products as source I get a 1064 Error.I couldn't find anything in the log, how could I fix this?
Thanks

Hi

This error is displayed when module is trying to show not existing content, so please check if IDs You are giving are correct and if language is set properly.

Hi there, I've already checked, all products and cateogories are correct, the fact is that the dialog in the Source tab of NSP GK5 isn't showing the VM categories list, so I guess that's why the module can't find the content.
By the way I had to uninstall VM because VM2.9 is only a beta version and is not suitable for production (many problems with multilingual management and so on), moreover the template StoreBox wasn't exaclty "ready" for this version of VM and all VM pages were a mess (in terms of css), so I decided to switch to HikaShop :) sorry!
I will definitely try again as soon as VM will be available for J3 and let you know.

Hi there, still me.... I've tried to use NSP GK5 with HikaShop, but as I try to switch from standard mode to another mode for the slider I get this message: "Specific data source is not supported by selected Portal Mode. Please change the data source or portal mode"
By the way, if I choose Standard Mode.. I still get the 1064 error :((
Any suggestion?

Hi

NSP doesn't have a style supporting hikashop yet, but the newest version can support it with a normal style, so please try it.

The problem You had with NSP and VM was a wrong language table or lack of language table prefix selected. In such cases categories are not visible, because NSP is looking in a different language table for them.

Hi, thanks, As soon as VM will be fully compatible with J3 I will definitely try. I guess there was something else, because I added to the shop only four products, just to try the slider, and I added them in all three langs available on the web site, but still no success. The fact is, though, that multilang on VM2.9 for J3 wasn't actually working properly, and I guess it might be the cause of my error.
As for the newest version of NSP, when was updated? I downloaded the file three days ago, If there's a new version available now I will definitely try it with hika :D
Thanks again

Hi

You can check the history of module version update on our update page, but this should be ok. Anyway I think that forcing in NSP settings to use the language table with suffix "_en_en" should search for categories only in this one language. You can try with others and I bet one of them will respond.

Hi,

I have the same problem. And it really looks like, that the author create the demo page and for download they simple remove the content. The Quickstart Version looks nice, but after press once "save and exit" you have no working demo-page anymore.

Can you post a default setup for Thumbnails NSP GK5 for your storebox demo-page (in the downloadable version), so that we are able to reproduce at least the basic page.

I tried many setup, for example I setup to use virtuemart products for GK5, but the error message shows that this module still load k2-content.

SELECT content.id AS id FROM ras1_k2_items AS content WHERE content.published = 1 AND content.trash = 0 AND content.access IN (1,1,5) AND ( content.publish_up = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR content.publish_up <= '2015-04-26 01:50:38' ) AND ( content.publish_down = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR content.publish_down >= '2015-04-26 01:50:38' ) AND ( content.catid = 10 ) AND content.featured = 0 ORDER BY content. DESC LIMIT 0,4;

And I see ORDER BY content.
There a missing data, but where can I setup this order by parameter.
Can you help to make this template workable?

thanks
Joerg

Hi

Try update NSP to latest version. Than edit all NSP modules settings. Clear browser cache, check source configuration and save settings even if no changes was done.

Hi,

thanks for your answer. I updated already. Same result. But I saw that the NSP-Module is used 3 times in that template. Once is working, twice not. Also after new setup and cache deleting. So I copied the MySQL parameter field from working to the non working entries and now it works everywhere. Not the nicest way, but it works.

Hi

"MySQL parameter field" what do You mean by that ? A language table suffix which is used for VM source or something else.

I went to xxx_modules and searched for the module ID 214, there is "**SHOPS** __&__ TRENDS". This Module is working.
I copied the content of "params".
This one:

And I copied this into the param field of ID 212 & 213, this module produce the error. After changing the content of param field everything is working. So there must be an error in the default param in your template.

However, now everything is working.

Thanks

Please look at what I posted already. There were couple of new fields added between versions, this is why re saving the settings is important in every copy. This action will do the same as You've done in database.
