I tried to install NS Pro GK4 on top of an older version, but now there is an error. Tried also GK5, same thing.
Error:

0 SQL=SELECT c.name AS nname, c.id, c.parent AS parent FROM xxx_k2_categories AS c WHERE published = 1 AND trash = 0 ORDER by c.name, c.parent ASC

It seems the module tries to read from a K2-database-field, but K2 is de-installed since several month. I thought the de-installation was not complete and installed a fresh version of K2 to de-install it again. Same error.

Anyone an idea to solve this problem?

Thanks!!!

Please make sure that every selected category contains at least one article, what Joomla! version you use ?

I'm using J3.0.3

Its not possible to select categories, the error prevents the use of the module and the whole navigation and menubar of joomla is gone! That error occurs only with this module.

Any more ideas?

Did you use any 3rd party extension which remove jQuery library ? I'm asking because the NSP module back-end is not working because jQuery library is missing.

I've had problems with the frontend of MooFaq-component. The programmer of MooFaq fixed it and I remember he said something about JQuery...

How can I re-install JQuery to test it?

Thanks for your help!!!

same problem here..

i've installed news show gk4 because gk5 is not working right on touch screens.. gk5 came preinstalled with the quickstart package (simplicity template) and still works good on desktop computers with a mouse.

gk5 is not working right on touch screens.

I've checked this on iPad and Android device and I don't see any problem, could you be more specific ?

Same here,

When i select a category to show in the NSP then it gets the SQL 1064 error.

Only if i choose "uncategorised" then it works...

error: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ORDER BY content.created DESC' at line 28 SQL=SELECT content.id AS iid, content.access AS access, categories.title AS catname, users.email AS author_email, users.name AS author, content_rating.rating_sum AS rating_sum, content_rating.rating_count AS rating_count, CASE WHEN CHAR_LENGTH(content.alias) THEN CONCAT_WS(":", content.id, content.alias) ELSE content.id END as id, CASE WHEN CHAR_LENGTH(categories.alias) THEN CONCAT_WS(":", categories.id, categories.alias) ELSE categories.id END as cid FROM l8wid_content AS content LEFT JOIN l8wid_categories AS categories ON categories.id = content.catid LEFT JOIN l8wid_users AS users ON users.id = content.created_by LEFT JOIN l8wid_content_rating AS content_rating ON content_rating.content_id = content.id WHERE ORDER BY content.created DESC
