Can't differentiate between catergories & pages

Hi!
I have added my own categories in the site but I am not able to edit pages. In fact I can not differentiate between the two. I want to post my contents based on categories not on pages. I want my contents to be a single role on the front page from up down. I don't want my contents to be scattered from left & right. I want my site to look like: http://www.mercola.com How do I do that? Thank you!

Please go to Dashbaord -> News2 -> Template Options -> Basic tab and disable "Widgets Display on Homepage" option.
