Hello!

I am using News2 template for Joomla (v3.5) which was somehow modified by a front-end designer. All in all I am very happy with your template and I had never any reason to ask for help.

Alas, recently after some modification we encountered a strange problems - several icons stopped working. The problem manifests differently in the desktop and the mobile version of the site.

Now, you can access the website here: http://trell.yapeku.com/
User: Friend
Password: thankyou

More specifically:
- Social icons next to search tab not showing (home page);
- Some code appearing next to search tab (should be a related problem);
- Please open the article: http://trell.yapeku.com/adenomioza => icons in the sections headlines and in the orange box not showing.

Regarding the mobile version:
- Social icons can be seen on a windows phone, not working while minimizing resolution in the browser although the template "responses" to the change;
- Font awesome icons (including the mobile version menu icon) are displayed like squares.

I will be grateful if you take a look. The problem seems to be stemming from some scaling/resolution issue. I hope it is not related to the old version of php (5.7.xx) my test host is using or to Joomla 3.5.

Thank you very much,
Yassen

P.S. I am intending to ask tidycustoms for a site audit in a few days. If it will be easier to you if they deal with the reported problem, just say so :)

Hi

Problem is that Your site's url does not use www and font ulr does, so it's a classic cross origin issue. Please use this fix to solve the problem: https://davidwalsh.name/cdn-fonts

Thank you, Mr Teitbite!

I applied the fix and it worked wonders with the social icons. All good on that front.

Unfortunately, the small search icon (the magnifying glass ) is still displayed as F002 next to the search field (top right). Font awesome icons into articles didn't show themselves as well but the latter is not really a big deal. The search field code on the first page is.

Should we leave that to Tidy C which I will approach soon or you will be so kind to look at it?

Thanks again for the help,
Yassen

Hi

I still cannot see Your site using "www", so I think it's the same problem as before. Please make sure not only all links are rewritten to www, but also site's url does that in browser.

Hello Teit!

I enforced www in url via sh404Sef. Font awesome icons look like squares in FF and can not be seen in Edge.

There is something else according to my web designer.

Regards,
Yassen

Hi

I have no idea I'm afraid. Please send me an access to joomla panel (along with url, since regular one is not working) and ftp access. Will try to find what can be wrong.

Hi

Programmers has checked the problem and they are 100% it's not template related. Links to fonts are not working even with default joomla template.

Please talk about this problem with Your hosting provider. This is most likely caused by server settings or wrong code in htaccess file.
