If you go to the K2 blog Newsblog and select the item "Call me Caitlyn" for example, you will see that at the top of the item it says "No Comment" -see attached image newsblog1b.png. Now scroll down to the bottom of the article and you will see 1 comment -see attached image newsblog2b.png.

The question is, Why does it say No comment at the top when there is one comment (now 3)? It seems like the current template news_2 overrides a lot of K2. Is there an override I can use to show the proper number of comments (comments are coming from Komento)?

Hello,

First of all - please temporary rename catalog html/com_k2 to html/__com_k2 and then please check if then counter behaves properly.

I changed gk_news2/html/com_k2 to _com_k2.

The layout changed, but the no comments still did not show the number of comments

So most probably it is an issue between K2 and Komento plugin.

It may be but the number of comments shows up on the front page in NSP5 so Komento is playing nice with K2 and NSP5. So it should play with Komento and K2 also.

NSP GK5 uses own method to get Komento data - it is not using any native K2 methods so it can work even if implementation in/for K2 is wrong.
