If I go to
Extension->Template manager->gk_news2->
at the bottom of the page I read
"Gavern v.3.13"

Is my version 3.13?

My website is www.casino-online.bz username gavick password gavick

Hi.
yes,
you can also check inside: gk_news2\templateDetails.xml
and there you will see:
<version>3.13</version>

I noticed that version 3.14 is out:
https://www.gavick.com/updates.html?tas ... 30&catid=4
and I would upgrade the template to this new version.

Is it enough to overwrite by ftp the 9 files you listed in that page?

It seems very easy, thank you Oscar. Just another simple question for future upgrades.
Let's say I do not have version 3.13 but for example I have version 2.7.
If I overwrite the 9 files do I upgrade from 2.7 to 3.13?

Or that kind upgrade/instructions is valid only for the step from 3.13 to 3.14?

you can reinstall whole template using Joomla Installer,
or check each update which files has been changes, or just copy "most" files from latest copy.

If I reinstall the whole template then I will lose all the settings. Correct?

No, you shouldn't. But it would be nice if you make a backup before.
Of course we don't talk about customizations which you made in files.
Override.css will not be deleted so do not worry.

Probably I do not have a clear idea of what "reinstall" mean.
I noticed that to upgrade News Show Pro GK5 for J!3 you says we have to reinstall the module.
https://www.gavick.com/updates.html?tas ... 42&catid=6

What reinstall really mean for module and template?
A) I have to go to Extension Manager --> Manage--> Unistall the extension/module/template and then make a new installation
B) I have to go to Extension Manager --> install and upload the whole zip package and it will recognize it is not a new install but an upgrade and will upgrade the module/template

I know this question is stupid, but I never upgraded/reinstalled anything on Joomla.

I know that templates and modules are both extensions,
but template update is more safe.

Damn, the system replaced B) with an emoticon.

That was my original message. Please tell me if the answer is A) or B).

Ah ah ah. Sincerely I do not like to gamble with modules and templates.

I upgraded the template from 3.13. to 3.14. I took gk_news2_J!3.zip

But noticed gk_news2_rest_files_J!3.zip Can you tell me what are the rest files?
I searched by google but found only this forum and did not find an explication.
