404 not working

404 page not working. Wrong address-redirected to the main page.
Tried so, .htaccess - ErrorDocument 404 http://www.labytnangi.net/templates/gk_news2/error.php - not working.
How to solve it?

Hi

I cannot open You website to check this issue. Is this sh404 component ? Please try to disable it and than try any wrong url.

strange, but the page is started to work. 404 page works.

May not have worked because the site was closed?

This is probable, but I do not know for sure. Most probably it was a cache showing old content.
