Upgrade from News "1" to News 2

Hi,

When upgrading form News to News 2 an 1146 error occures. Upgrade, I mean just switching the default template to News 2. Of course the site works great on News "1". Is there a major difference that does not allow to just simply jump between those two templates? And what to do, to make it working in this case?

News2 is new template so it could have some issues - but wait I will check on my demo page

I think I know..... you have to update NSP GK5 module ! this is very important. if your update system don't work - download from website and reinstall module. This error is connected with this or other module not template.
You can also update K2.

By the way, you have Joomla 3.2.3 ?

News "1" and News 2 there are two different templates , second version is more modern and include more features than old one.

Yes, I have J3.2.3. I had this error no. before and it was connected to gk modules with non-existing resources such as missing category or somenthing similar. So what I have already done are:
- NSP module update to up to date ver. 1.4.0, all the "divide by 0" warnings from displayed php errors regarding the NSP are now the past
- turned off all gk modules;
- assigned once again the module positions to the one from News 2;

Result: 1146 still exists - unfortunaty.

Additional info: no K2 in use.

Full error message was(is) " 1146 - Table '####_dblc.s1qpa_k2_items' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT created FROM s1qpa_k2_items WHERE state = 1 ORDER BY created DESC LIMIT.... "

it means that one of installed extensions try to load and use K2 item. Now I'm searching which one.

Please upload patch Joomla 3.x to 3.2.3 downloaded from joomla.org, maybe this will help.
Then in Instalacje - > Baza danych -> skorzystaj z opcji Napraw

I still have no idea why it won't work.
template is okey, it works on clean installation and quickstart, also on my site where I had News installed.
It must be something else,
I was thinking about to install K2 component but I'm not sure it will help.

We was thinking hard... and...

In templates/updates.php file please find:

and change to:

as you see just delete "!"
