move a database from another quickstar to quickstar gavick

Hello masters, I want to change the template.

Initially using memento quickstart, joomla 2.5.16 using v2.6.8 of K2 component. I want to replace it with gavick template "news 2" (joomla 2.5).

How do I move the database to "news2" so that links from social networks like fb / twit / others is not lost?

Guidance please ... thank you.

Probably the only way is just to install clean template on existing installation. Merging content databases is not so easy issue if you are not kind of Joomla wizard.

I do not understand it, can you give instructions outline?
while I'm trying to do is: I import the table for the sake of the table. example, I import user k2, while the default table of quicksatart I remove it first.
whether it is safe for the template configuration as a whole? or will cause damage to the system?

Frist of all this kind of changes are beyond our support and it is even not our quickstart issue but just core Joomla problem. If you know how to import your users and sessions between tables it is not problem at all you can merge databases. Our configuration is stored in default jos_extensions jos_templates tables so after correct import all should be working fine.

The way I did it has failed, not only to move the database to K2. That happened when I did it was, some function template default does not work. Perhaps it should be done by people who understand it.

There is no easy way to merge two different databases even for advanced users…
