Hello, I've been trying to get Grid GK5 working with the News 2 template. Is it possible? I have installed the module on the Gavick News 2 J!2.5 template, but i get this error:

"Error: Specified module position doesn't exist or is blank!"

I understand this is because I have not set any content to be displayed in the grid; the problem is I do not understand how to do this. I have read through the documentation but have not found any answers there.

My website: http://www.dpnlive.com/testing/

Thanks in advance,

B

There is no problem to use grid in any other template, please just check the documentation available here » Grid GK5 module - GavickPro Documentation

You need to publish content for grid module on gridX positions maybe that's the problem that nothing is published there.

I realised what I was doing wrong a few minutes after I posted and solved the issue. That seems to happen to me all the time.

But I have a new issue. I've imported all of my old articles from a 1.5 joomla site into a joomla 2.5 sites article manager. But for some reason in the articles the vertical and horizontal space around images in the article is not displaying, and as a result the text of the main article is shoved right up against the image, like this: http://www.dpnlive.com/testing/index.ph ... of-wonders

Is there any way I can fix this without having to edit all 2000 articles individually?

Regards,
B

That's something that I understand - how is that related with Grid module? Your images have inline styles and really bad HTML structure like image inside <b> tag. There is no way to overwrite this inline styles for all pages.
