Hi,

I just uploaded the latet version of the newspro module. I started a new module, saved it after the first tabs and after that get this error-message:
"error: 0 ReCaptcha plugin needs a public key to be set in its parameters. Please contact a site administrator. "

I am working with a joomla3 site and the mo template. I did nothing to th erecaptcha plugin.

At the frontend also an errormessage can also be seen: http://ww.test.each-for-sick-children.org.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thank you,
Paul

I don't see this message on your site. Perhaps some 3rd party plugin uses recaptcha (or you enabled it in one of our plugins) and this message tells you that something is not configured only when you are logged in as administrator?

Hi,

Curious: I chekd with two other computers and both gave the errormessage in the frontend.

I did install the plugins that were part of the rest files package with this template. One of these is plg_gkcontact.zip, and I looked in the php file of this plugin and find that it says: "if($this->params->get('use_recaptcha') == 1) {
$output .= '<div id="dynamic_recaptcha_1"></div>';
}"

So: can i change that 1 to 0?

Thanks,
Paul

I de-activated the php file of the gkcontact plugin, and now the site works okay again.

What is the best way to install the plugin: i.e. without losing access to the site itself?

Best regards,
Paul

Ok, please describe me step by step how to reproduce the problem and try to help.
Include info about how did you started (quickstart vs standard template), what did you do meanwhile etc.

Okay, I will try.

I took a j2.5 website and updated that to the latest j3 version. Then I installed the mo template.
It works okay and I am changing the module position names etc.; generally changing small things everywhere to get the site and the template matched.
That was last week and yesterday.
All works well.

Todat I installed the contact plugin, from the package of files inside the zip file called gk_mo_rest_files_K!3.
I went to upload the newspro module, made a new newspro module saved some settings, and lost the site.
Or so it seemed. I called your help, and went looking via the file browser in my cpanel.
Saw your response, checked the contact plugin files and saw that captcha was enabled (1 settings).
I renamed the corresponding php file: plg_gkcontact.php to deactivate te file, got the site back, and checked the setings for the plugin in the plugin manager: see image attached.

I changed the use recapcha setting to no, saved the new settings, restored the correct name for the plg_gkcontact.php file and kept the site intact.

So: perhaps in the rest file the setting for recapcha is set to yes, where it should be set to no?

Greetings,
Paul
