If we will promote the site over FAcebook and use the Url of the Page. The Link was show but not the site preview Thumbnail.

Over the FB-Debug we get this Error but i have no idea to fix it

Hello,

Please try to override the layouts/facebook.php file with layouts/default.php file. But most probably your problem is caused by fact that your are not using any Open Graph plugins which will add og:X metatags to your page.

Please do again the change and please put your URL in this tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ - it will clear the facebook cache of your website ;)

Do you have some unstandard redirects to your page? And please make sure that you have properly copied the default.php file content to the facebook.php file.

:) NO i dont have any redirects in joomla. or any Component. And my Workflow to copy the contend into the facebook.php file is:

Go to
templates/mo/layouts
transfer over FTP both files up
Open both files.
copy the content from default to facebook.php (Overwrite) it
rename the original facebook file
copy the new facebook.php to the server
clear browser cache
clear facebook cache.

must i delete the default.php

And the next info:

If we enable joomla GZIP FAcebug Debugger can not open the URL
If we disable Debugger the debugger find the page with the first error message of the thread start.

In my opinion it is connected with fact that photos from your jomsocial installation are private and facebook crawler cannot see it.
