There is no special method. Just attaching it to a module position available on frontpage and it should work. Please send me an access to joomla panel so I'll check why You have a problem with that.

If You had problems with module displaying style than maybe there were no module css enabled. With a template the style was designed for module style is not needed.
Thank you. By the way, I give up to use Mo template because aside menu does not respond to IE11 on Win8.1 while it works fine on Chrome 32.0. Do you have any suggestion ?
