Hi,

After I update the new version of the template, all content in override.css file was gone! How can this be?
Link: http://jreplay.com
It costs me nearly one month to work on this file!

Thanks,
Giang Anh

You should always do a backup before any updates. You didnt think that updating would overwrite the old files?

Maybe your host has a backup or your site, otherwise what kind of work did you do to the site? Maybe I can help ya with some of the coding quick

Just because in your documentation confirmed that override.css won't be overridden...
There is too much custom code there and it's my mistake that I don't back it up.

Hi

In documentation it states that this file is best to store modification and this way much easier to backup one file while update. There is no message that this will not we overwritten.

Try ask Your hosting provider to retrieve this file from backup.

Hi

Thank You. I've reported it already for fix. I think this article author meant the ftp file override as update and not joomla installator. Once again sorry for that.

Hi

Really ? And there were no way to retrieve it from host provider ? Anyway sorry for that. I've heard that there were plans to make override.css file not being overwritten, but it's more of a joomla thing forcing templates to have a hard list of files used by template and all files mentioned are replaced by installator. Which means that the only way to do this is by creating a template's xml file during installation which is close to impossible while files are inside package.
