NSP and GK Tabs issue on homepage

I can't run down what's causing this. There should be nothing displayed in "upcoming events" right now although i do have a NSP assigned to that tab. This site has been working fine for months, this is recent.

Did you solved your problem? As I see now in the "Upcoming events" there is an article.

They put something in place (my client manages their own site- that's why it's filled with bad photos and stuff!). My concern is that when there is no event (K2 Article) there it acts weird. I will try to replicate it on a non-live site and report back.
