What size should I be making images to be used as slides in the front page image show?

The module says images are 2080x936, so I made custom slides according to those dimensions and they appear cropped, like I'm using the wrong size image or something.

Could you show me screenshot from display with at least 2100px wide? I have only 1920px wide screen so it is less than you slide dimension and it is correct so I see them cropped.

Sorry, I had replied to this yesterday but that reply is now MIA, so I'm not sure what happened.

My display is not bigger than yours, so I can't send the screen shot you requested. However, I had the same problem even on smaller sized images. I first tried 1040x463, because that was the size of the placeholder that came with the quickstart. I then tried 1270x507, although I dont recall why, before trying 2080x936. No matter which size I used, the image was either cropped or zoomed in on.

What is the ideal size image to use in that module position?

I've tried to check your website again but even after several seconds I see only preloader (screenshot) did you re-configure Image Show module?

Please add this code to override.css file in root/templates/gk_template_name/css directory :
Code: Select all
#gkIs-gk-is-723.gkIsWrapper-gk_game .gkIsSlide { 100% 936px; max-width: 100% }

and then just remember to enable "Use override CSS" option in template advanced settings tab. I can't see the images but maybe this will help.

There is only one image at the moment. The preloader seemed a little slow to me before the image came up. Not sure if that was due to image size or slow server response. I tried this css change but it didn't appear to change anything. I guess it's just something I'll have to get use to. Thanks anyway.

Please try to test your website using pingdom tools - you will see how much time it gets to load the graphic file.
