Disabling plugin System - K2 breaks Image Show

Hi
I'm using Game template (quick start version) but I don't want to use the K2 component.

When I disable the plugin 'System - K2' the image show module does not load the slides, it remains stuck with the loading animation.

Any ideas on what I can do to disable and uninstall K2 component and plugins without causing problems?

Hi

Quickstart slider is connected with K2 articles, so it will not work after removing K2. Please change slides to use regular joomla articles or html as source.
