Slide with button

Guys,

I'd like to create a content slide/section on the front page that has a specific background image, some text and a nice button (like Get BluAp for the price of $4.99 on BluAp!).

Please can you advise how to acheive this?

Is the best way to do a Custom HTML module?
In think I can do the words and the background (!) but how do I do the button?

As a postcript, I'd kind of like to do something like in this attached image.
I want to keep the top slide as a slideshow with Image Show GK4 (represented in the image by Mumford & Sons)
For the second and third slides (represented by U2 and Mumford & Sons again) I'd just like static images with a web link (preferably a button).

How can I acheive this? Should I use Custom HTML?

If I wanted to have two images on the same level (see 4th section down), how should I acheive this? Just set both to Bottom3 module position? Do they need any additional CSS suffixes etc?
