Intro Page to MusicState

Hi. I am keen to have an intro page before Music State starts (maybe using a video background component or just a "Click here to enter" page)

What is the best way to set about this?

Do I essentially need to create a second site to alongside Music State?

There is a multiple ways of doing that. You can use homepage with a different template. You can make a different page and than link to a regular site in subdirectory. Or modify index.php file to load Your files/site if website was not visited yet. Unfortunatelly none of this solution involves our templates, so I cannot help You with development of such solution.

Yes they do affect SEO sine Your homepage will be more more like and adv. I think You should use some popup solution instead of a different page. This way SEO will be safe. Please look joomla extentions page for some popup solutions. One of them should be displayed depending on cookies information.

Teitbite. I wondered if possibly I should use the Creativity template instead?
I can have an intro with this effectively can't I, without hurting SEO?

It's up to You. If an intor from this template meets Your needs that it would be the fastest solution I believe and no SEO problems.
