Hi,
did you guys do something so the JCE editor settings not work? Regardless what I put Editor Styles (Custom CSS style, Template CSS style or Default) its not changing the editor look. It works with the rest of the templates but not working with this one. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Gorast

Maybe just JCE styles are overwrite by the template ones because the JCE selectors are to general? Could you show me an example of code where you loose JCE styles? We don't overwrite any default JCE styles.

Yes, please show me where you have problem with JCE styles - please note that WYSIWYG editor not always provide you correct preview. In back-end you don't see template styles so you have no idea how it will look on front-end that's why we strongly recommend to use default as clean article structure as possible. JCE which adds lot of spans, paragraphs etc. is not the best solution.

That is the exact problem, I dont want to see any styling in the backend editor. In your other themes I change to Default and all styles are gone. Now regardless of what I change I get styles in the back. That way I saw that whatever I put as an option in the Editor layout its not changing.

The reason is very obvious - template have own typography styles and using WYSIWYG editor in Joomla is pointless. The editor not load template styles (have no idea why) and in result you get different styles on back-end and front-end. There is always way to use template without any typography styles like Prostar.

Hey,
everything you said make sense and basically is what I was suspecting, but the thing is why/where is the template overriding this? The JCE versions are the same and Creative, News 2, Game,... don't act bad. They are working fine with the custom WYSIWYG editor css file and displaying whatever I put in editor.css file.

In other words, I want to make the editor clean as this editor right here.

Thanks,

I think you are looking at this issue in wrong way. JCE is a editor - just editor which prepare some HTML structure but not add ANY styles to your front-end. How template may overwrite JCE code if any code is added to your front-end?

Looks like we don't understand each other ;D
Here is an image how the back-end editor looks now:

I want to remove the styling totally but I can not as I did in other Gavick templates. Why?

Thanks,

Probably in JCE settings there is enabled option to load template.css file and this cause the problem. Please check this JCE plugin configuration - it is not related with our product it is just kind of strange JCE feature.
