Hello,

Please compare your module suffix with the Quickstart settings: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... iguration/

When I put the module suffix this is what my page looks like I can't find out how to configure the grid. I saw the JomSocial Feed Module but don't know how to use it.

Thank you

It is a bug in the JomSocial module not in the template - as I see it is caused by wrong generated URL to the image. There is:

http://www.schillingersociety.com/front ... ma-1-5.gif

instead of:

http://www.schillingersociety.com/compo ... ma-1-5.gif

We are not overriding this module views in the template, so please contact with the JomSocial support to solve this problem.

Thank you again.
I have another problem I configured this grid and it worked fine. Then when I published GK Social Sidebar position it pushed my grid to the side and showed Facebook feed. I immediately unpublished but the top right grid broke. How can I fix this.

Do you mean top left element of the grid? The top right one is OK as I see. Regarding the top left element - please try to enable the default CSS file in the News Show Pro GK5 instance (under the "External Files" tab) - as I see currently any CSS style for this portal mode is not loaded.

Most probably you did it in the wrong instance of the module, because the CSS style is still not loading, only the JS file is loaded: modules/mod_news_pro_gk5/portal_modes/grid_title_overlay/script.mootools.js

You can also just copy the content of this file: http://www.schillingersociety.com/front ... /style.css

to the end of css/gk.stuff.css file.

Did you set the text position in the portal mode settings? As I see the text position is probably set to none, so the header is not displayed.

Thank you. I have published the bottom 2 news grid3 but I don't know how to get the articles I want in. I chose the category and it picks two the same articles and doesn't display the image on the large article. here is a screen shot.

In the modules at the right side you should specify the news number option to 1 in the second module, then the bottom module will display second news from the selected category.

Regarding the left module - it displays the image, but the image is a blank image from the clean demo - you can check it in the images and links section while editing the article.

Hello again,

Yes, it is possible - you can use RSS as a data source - you will have to specify the URL to WordPress blog stories RSS feed and then it will be used as a normal articles in the module.

Please remember to set the option "RSS Feed cache time" under the "RSS - Additional Settings" tab to value like "60" or bigger, because getting RSS data causes a delay depending from speed of the data source server. Then the data will be retrieved once per 1 hour.

Thank you for all your help!
Can I add pictures to the feeds?

I was not able to get grid 3 right side article to post. I have a picture. It looks like it is fine when I post it to article 3 but the article 2 position gives a problem.

I am letting you know that I installed gk_contact and when I saved and closed it locked my website down both front and backend. I got an error that said 0 reCaptcha ..... something about needs configuration. I could not get to any other page. Frontend said Woops and a big 0.
I did move the plugin folder out of the directory and restored the site.

The RSS data source will use images from the feed texts if exists

I'm sorry but I don't undertand - could you better explain this case?

If reCAPTCHA is enabled in the plugin, then it should be also enabled and configured in joomla, otherwise you will get the mentioned error.

Please remember to set the "First news number" option in every instance to different values: 0, 1, 2.

Most probably it is caused by fact that in the used category there are only 3 articles and you set the module to get the fourth article. Please change the first news number option to lower value.

Regarding the RSS Feed when I choose RSS Feed it takes away the 'First News Number' option.

Regarding the other missing feed blocks I have 0,1,2 but it picks a different category than the one I chose.

Did you fixed the problem with RSS? Because as I see now all blocks are loaded in this section.

Regarding the logo problem - please try to add at the end of css/template.css file the following code:

Code: Select all
#gkLogo.text {
font-size: 18px!important;
line-height: 72px!important;
}

The section called Learn the Logic of Music is missing a top right block. The problem I am having is that i can not control which blog post I want shown. It seems to go to a default post so I can not have more than one post from the same blog. Did you receive my PM?

Your problem with the blank block is connected with fact that you didn't publish modules on the proper module position - please add a module on the module position used in the grid and then the grid will fill with the module content. If you are using indexes like grid1[3] in the grid module to specify the module position - then please make sure that the index value is not bigger than amount of modules on the specific module position.

Yes I set the GK Grid and News module just like the Bottom 2 position except I am using grid 3 instead of grid 2. Still not working.
Also I am still having the same problem with RSS feed not using the url I specified in the module.

Your problem with missing modules was caused by fact that the modules was assigned to "No pages" - I've changed it to "All pages" and now its are displayed in the grid.
