Having issues with the grid1 position i would like ot have different categories in this position but for some reason the content is displaying in the grid 3 position so ex. ggrid 1 i would like to populate with music news, and art work categories. I may get the music news in grid 1 and get the art work categories items in the grid 3 position. ALso in the backend there's like 4 entries for grid 1 but i haven't wrapped my head around why there's 4 newspor modules in the same position...thx in advance.. if you want ot see what I'm mentioning check http://sminart.com/

Hi

Using the same position name in some cases means that modules would be distributed to GK5 Grid according to order on modules list. Can You please tell me where is Gred module on Your site so I can see what's going on ? I cannot find it.

Hi

I'm not sure if You understand how grid module works. You have 3 grid module on Your site right now. Each of them is using only one module position, consequently: first module has "grid1", second "grid2", third "grid3". Which meant that You can publish many modules in one module position and a grid module will display it in it's boxes according to the order in module list.

I think I may understand the problem
the grid 1 position has 4-5 modules that are newsshowpro
So on the backedn it says Music I Music News II etc. The number dictates the position in the grid.

So what i think was happening I was having a NewPros Module with multiple categories in the grid1 position

Instead I should have had grid 1 newspro module with one category ex. (artwork)
Grid 1 newspromodule (Music News) etc

I think that's where the confusion lies.

Hi

Yes that's correct. But to not confuse it even more please simply select in module list to show modules attached to grid1 position only and than sort it by order. It will be the best way to see where and which module is displayed.

Still confused on the config. I only have 3 modules populated in the grid1 position. I'm seeing an error stating Specified module on the used module position doesn't exist! Im not sure what's triggering this. Also the image from the article isn't populating the module which is weird..because the artwork category is copying the parameters from the music category (which is the one that's showing incorrectly in the module).

www.sminart.com is the site

Hi

I can see You have more positions predefined than You have added modules to it, that's why an error message is displaying. I'm afraid we can spand a long time explainging so I'll reach out and will ask You for an access to joomla panel and instruction how should it looks like. I'll make it for You.

I've sent an email sorry for the back and forth... i'm sure I can see whats going on once its configured. I usually don't have probs with you alls modules and temps. I have all the quickstart K2 Items in there in case you have to populate with those if necessary. thx again.

Hi

I'm using a The Hub mobule as an example. As you can see in this module setting it's prepared to have 6 modules in it. So I've just enabled the modules You had attached to this position before to fill all the spaces. Now when in modules list You select to see only modules from position "grid1" and sort it by order You will see the order the modules are in. From this point Grid module is done and You need to administer the content of each it's block by configuring the coresponding module.

Thanks a MILLION i just copied one module to populate the other positions on the grid. Where can i remove the category and dates from the module. Its weird because i removed the options in the k2 categories? but its still showing the date, and category name...weird

Hi

Not weird (love this word) at all. Module is not connected with K2 settings, which allows to display a content in module position either it was enabled or disabled in this category. Full freedom with manipulation of the content to display. So You need to configure each of this module (News Show Pro I mean) separately.
