SIDEBAR Menu - active category

Hi, I have small problem with menu at sidebar, can't figuret out what I've to do, to have active category marked by color.
Module class surfix set up for menu at first, but see is side-menu works better. Still don't have avtive category and sub-category,
do I have to do own css for It? On demo I can see it works fine.

Please show me an example of a page with this problem. I've noticed that a module is not showing at all when I select a random product.
