I do not see a logo position in modules....

Under your documentation it is defined as "logo"....

I also do not see "mainmenu"....

I did download gk_cloudhost_rest_files_J!25.zip did you guys modify the modules positions with this demo download?

Hi, no we didn't modify our quickstart and template - "logo" and "menu" position are not standard menu positions, but If you have time and php knowledge you can change to default module positions.

That is understood...

However in your online demo you show under module positions "logo" and "mainmenu" that could be misleading as pre defined module positions.

Thanks,

Source for logo you can find in those two files:
1) gk_cloudhost\layouts\default.php //reference to logo.php file//
2) gk_cloudhost\layouts\blocks\logo.php //detailed code//

p.s.
But if you will use "index.php?tp=1" you won't see "logo" and "menu" position.

This is still happening with the latest templates.

I am using instyle (latest template at present) and have just spent ages trying to figure out how to use the logo position to drop a module in under the logo.

I've just discovered this post, which basically says you can't do it (unless you're a PHP programmer with lots of time).

If you have a demo that states 'module positions' , then they really should be available when you go to position a module.

With instyle it appears there is a whole header section you cannot add anything too, you can't use/edit the content in:

- Logo
- User area (which had a message in it 'Welcome visitor you can log in or create an account' which every website has to have (or learn PHP)
- Main menu

Not so good.

Sorry but right now is what it is.
Probably soon this will be changed when we will apply new Gavern framework to all Joomla!3.x template - how it's in MeetGavern when you have more control.

You don't have to be programmer to replace our code with your new module position, check our Documentation how to add new module position.
