Speed up theme

Hey there,

what can I do to speed up my wordpress theme. It currently takes a looooong time to load and I expect it to be even slower once there is more content uploaded to the page.

Is it advised to get rid of e.g. of widgets I am not using?

Which kind of widget caching plugins are advisable ?

You can use e.g. WP Super Cache (easier to use), or W3C Total Cache plugins.

You should also optimize your images (with plugin or yahoo smush it service).
