GK Grid title overlay only ever pulls latest custom post

I have several custom post types, but when trying to use these with the Title Overlay in a grid, it only ever pulls through the latest post, even if I apply the other options (random, ascending order, etc), or an offset

Anyone have any tips on how to work around this?
