Menu text problem and gk-user-area?

Hi!

I have two problems with my menu for the (M)social theme.

1. The menu can't show swedish letters as Å Ä Ö. How do I manage it to show these letters?

2. In the upper right corner of the menu it shows a grey box every time I'm logged out. The id for the box is called "gk-user-area". How do I hide this box?

Regarding your first problem, maybe your font doesn't support these letters. You can also check this article.
