Then most of the features will be automatically enabled. The widget rules are a feature which should be enabled in the theme settings.

We added some improvements into GK Grid widget lately, so please update your plugin files to the latest version:
https://github.com/GavickPro/GK-Grid

Download, unzip and replace your wp-content/plugins/gk-grid with downloaded gk-grid directory. Please remember about the backup (just in case).
