GK-Grid Mouse Over effect and BuddyPress widget

Hi

Would really like to try having a overlay over the whole image when you hover over an avatar that shows the members name and maybe group name as well.

Like the functionally of http://siteshackdevsites.info/ssnew/ but on http://siteshackdevsites.info/ssrebuild/

Great if you could illustrate how - obviously it needs to be dynamic using the GK Buddypress widget

Hi,

You can use this feature from our another theme: MuiscState: http://gavick.com/demo/wordpress/musicstate/ (Featured artists), you have to use text widget instead of BuddyPress widget, and copy css styles from css/stuff.css file (/* User grid content type */ section),
you can also adjust hover background to e.g. 30%.

Just a bit confused. How can I include BuddyPress avatars without the GK-BuddyPress widget?

you have to use direct path to your image avatars in the content of Text widget: you can find your avatars here: wp-content/uploads/avatars
