Hi
I had the same issue, and together with Piotr we were able to find a possible solution:
I reported it in this post:
https://www.gavick.com/forums/m-social- ... 32484.htmlFinally we got the point:
When you install the quickstart package the installation is giving you automatically the rights as an administrator. You choose you username and PW, and with this you are able to log on to the WP backend.
So far, so good.
But when you are going now to the user section>all users, you will see that you have the role as a subscriber. This it the default setting given by the system to new users. You cannot change your role, because - although you are the administrator - internally you are handled as an subscriber, who is not allowed to change settings.
Also the subscriber its not allowed to configure the system, here it means, he may not change grids etc...
Nervertheless you are still logged on as the admin, and this is causing a conflict. I don't know, if this an WP problem or Gavick…
I attach a screenshot with this conflicting setting: This photo is taken from a just new installation of the msocial_quickstart pack, I did not change anything, complete clean install in a new folder with new database.
We solved this problem in this way:
Logged in - even as a subscriber - you add a new user with the role of the admin. When you log in with the details of the new admin, you are most probably able to work with the grid settings.
Please report if not.
