help getting started

Hi I am fairly new to this so please forgive me but I feel I have followed instruction. I uploaded all of the quick start files to Bluehost via Ftp(Filezilla) - This made available a few more plugins but I still don't seem to have access to the full range of things I would need to replicate your demo such as the social media features of the grid etc. Please can you help?
