GK News Show Pro – showing Event posts

Hello,

is it possible to show event posts (installed plugin) instead of standard wordpress posts in the GK News Show pro. I tried with categories and custom post types, but I assume, that this was the wrong track.

Would highly appreciate help!

Hi, If these event posts are not custom post type it's not possible, our external GK News Show Pro widget allow to show content also from rss, json and xml files:

apparently the events post is a custom post type. I am wondering now, whether I need to use quotationmarks or something else to make it work.

I added more events to the news show pro. Unfortunately, there are two problems:

– It won't show more pages plus the navigation on top right is missing. I used the exact same options as in your demo file.
– Images are blurry again
– They are not in the same size

Would you be able to have a look on this? The login details are still the same that I sent the last time.

thank you that solved half of my problem!

How can I make sure that the portrait sized images are scaled down equally to the landscape ones? I do not want to have two different image sizes - but rather having a "cropping" box for both of them.

It's weird, images should be cropped to the same sizes, could you check your gavern/cache_nsp directory permissions? it should be 755. if that won't help you can send me a PM with FTP access, then i'll be able to check it exactly.

The default css saves part of it, but how can I avoid having different image sizes. My client will have both portrait and landscape pictures in different sizes. All of them should be scaled or cropped into the same dimension.

Otherwise it will look like this (see screenshots of page 1 and 2).

Is there anything I can do about this?

Problem is with your images, if you are using in GK News Show Pro widget image dimensions e.g. 420 x 320 and this image: ../wp-content/uploads/2014/01/DIY-Beauty-Cooling-Cucumber-Toner-mdn-e1388756129381.jpg (with cucumber) has size only 180 x 240px, it's not possible to crop it properly, you have to use bigger images, or smaller image dimensions size in widget settings (with e.g. 3 columns) there's no other way.
