Hello:

I've made some changes to the Custom CSS in the template "Advanced Settings" and when I hit save it doesn't save it. It deletes everything in the box. Below is what I've done.

1) Cleared Cache

2) Update the template

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated as I do not have any CSS and my site looks hideous.

Thanks,

Michael K.

Could you please provide me with a URL to your website and back-end access via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it? It is a lot easier for us to diagnose issues when we have a live site to examine.

Hello:

I'm sorry to bug, but did you receive the private message? I'm just really frustrated because I can not figure out what happened. Everything was fine, then all of a sudden, it crashed. What is weird though, is if I put just a few lines of CSS into the CSS override box in Advanced settings it will save it but as soon as I put all of my CSS changes, it says that it saves but then the box becomes empty again.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi

Yes I did, but I cannot see a problem here. But from Your last post I'm pretty sure what the problem may be. Custom CSS field is using database to store all the informations. Which means the number of chars You are allowed to use there is limited. It's a pretty heigh value, but I believe You have reached it's limit somehow. Please move Your code to /css/override.css file instead and make sure override is enabled in template settings. Leave Custom CSS field empty.

Teitbite, I have to say you have saved my but many times with this site. I can not thank you enough. I restored from a previous backup and took the extra css code that I added. Consolidated it all into my override.css and uploaded it... IT WORKED!!! thanks again!
