Can we create sub category of articles in K2 and that will be picked up by gavick articles template?

By default the gavick template on the right side menu, there are list of categories, can we display clearly category and its subcategory?

Hi

It's not done by template, but K2 tools module. You can configure it to show subcategories as well.
