Hello support team,

I need help with the following modifications.

1. I would like to replace the grid on the homepage header with an image.

2. Inside jomsocial shows 2 templates: msocial and default but when i go to components->com_community->templates i only see the default.(??) Haven't you created your own template within jomsocial? Where can i find it? I need to create a custom template for jomsocial in order to prevent losing .php changes every time i update the jomsocial.

3.I would like to increase the width of the whole template in order to cover full page, what is the max width i should set 1440px?

4.May i ask which cookie consent plugin do you use on your website?

Thank you in advance for your help..

Hi

1. Grid is an ordinary module so all You need to do is to replace it with Custom HTML module with image.
2. Please try in template's /html/com_community folder
3. I believe an average screen size is 1920px according to google.
4. You can find it in http://sitebeam.net/cookieconsent/

Hi Teitbite, nice to hear from you, hope everything is well!

1. Along with the HTML module do i have to add CSS? Could you please provide me detailed info how to achieve this?

2. The files i have modified are not found in /html/com_community. what i have done instead is duplicate the jomsocial default, rename it to custom and make it default, will that work?

4.I meant the plugin you have on gavick.com

Some additional questions:

5. I have read your changing template name blog, what happens in the event of an update? Will i have to do the changes from the beginning?

6. I have noticed that the override folder already contains quite a few lines, can i delete them?

Hi

1. I understamd You are trying to display one image instead of the grid module. Am I right ? You do not need any additional css than. Just use editor to add image in custom html module, that's all.

2. It may, but if templat has an override in /html/com_community than this files will be used instead, so remove them in case it will interfere.

4. Sorry I do not have an access to site's code to check it.

5. In such case You should make an update manually by overwritting files according to update version list. But still You need to remember if there were no name changes in file replaced.

6. You can delete any file from /html (override folder), but You may lost the style which came with template in some occasions.
