Hey guys, please I need to learn this thing to work on!
I was under the impression that when an update comes for template, it may touch anything but override.css, so my tweaks are safe. But after updating (M)Social to latest version - I've lost eveything in override.css and now that's a lot of stuff I never wrote. The pitty is that before I realized it, I've already updated my other sites too - so now I am affraid I've lost all the tweaks on other sites too...

This is your template and you have right to do what you wish, simple explain me how this should work?
Thanks.

The update process is always:
1. Backup your current template (perhaps your server backs it up automatically and you can get it there?)
2. Update template
3. Revert changed override.css

Sadly Joomla doesn't allow to create files that are installed only when you install template and don't update them when updating. All template files are just overridden.

By using ftp client - just copy existing template folder before the update.
