unable to write jomsocial message

Hi Guys I am unable to write a message to a friend on Jomsocial.
When I try to write it lets me enter the subject but I can't write anything in the message field.
This is on firefox on centos linux.
When using chrome on mac I am able to write but the alignment is not right. It looks like some kind of formatting issue.
Please assist.

Could you provide me some base details like your JomSocial and template version? I've checked this issue on latest firefox and here you can see this result (all is working fine) : Recordit: Record screencasts fast & free! with GIF Support!
