Hi, as there does not seem to be a forum category for GK Grid yet (at least I cant see it on the forum !?) I ask my question here:

If I use "K2 Categories" in the GK News Show Pro module settings as the content source and then use GK Grid to display this GK News Show Pro module, then, if "animation" is also enabled in the GK News Show Pro settings, I would expect GK Grid to show an animated sequence of the K2 items belonging to the category specified in theGK News Show Pro module ... !? Correct, or is my understanding how these different extensions are supposed to work together wrong?

What I obviously want to achieve is to show animated sequences of K2 item, belonging to a given K2 category, in a grid position, using the GK News Show Pro module.

THANKS for providing me some more insight !

Hi

Unfortunatelly this not always has to work like that. In Your case I believe animations of a grid module and nsp module are happening at the same time so the other animation is not visible becuase of it. Please show me Your site so I'll see if I'm right and if it can be dalayed easily.

Thanks, for coming back. You should also have gotten a PM (including the forum link) with the site's credentials (ixxtest.com/msocial, the username I sent you is "teitbite")?! Or shall I email you?

Hi

Yes I've just found it and take a look into the settings. Unfortunatelly there is no way to delay the animation so both can be visible with an easy way. I'm afraid that some bigger modification would need to be made to make it work like that, unfortunately we do not support that.

no problem, thanks. And you know what...... ? It all works out of the box... !

I loaded 4 different Grids into 4 different GK Tabs, and one of the Grids in one Tabs also has an animated GK News Show Pro sequence of K2 items belonging to a category...

and can you believe it, all that works perfectly :)

I'm pasting it in case someone would like to try it. Sounds complicated :) But if it's a solution You have discovered than I cannot argue with You :)

What is important to achieve this is to set the "module mode" ("basic settings" in the News Show Pro module) to "standard mode". Then the categories show in an animated sequence in the chosen grid position...

P.S.: Really huge compliments to the Gavick team, quite amazing how these products work together (and I am sure I am still hardly scratching the surface of what is really possible)
