HI there,

I am actually using Grid in the shop & buy template but there is no Forum for Grid so I am posting it here.

I am wanting to know, if I set a Grid to display: none, and then set it to Display in just a mobile view, will the Grid still load as the page loads or only when visible?

Reason I ask is because I wish to replicate the Grid but use different images (they are the same images but different dimensions to reduce file size, and which are background images in some Grid blocks) for them due to file sizes. So what I am trying to avoid is the Grid loading twice if you are using a mobile device or on desktop, since there is 2 Grids in the backend setup for the homepage.

An ideal solution would allow a different template that loads only in mobile view and vice versa. But Joomla isnt set up that way unfortunately.

Thanks..

Hi

In responsive templates You will have all modules in any device but just hidden if "nomobile, notablet, onlymobile, onlytablet" module class suffix used. Unfortunatelly there is no option to pass this, because responsive is done for a purpose that no modules have to be removed because of the width of device screen.
