Hi

I want to show the FB like button in joomla articles.
But even if I enable 'Like' and 'send' and type Facebook API ID in socialAPI in the MSocial template, nothing shows.
I have not selected any categories in Excluded categories.

I have disabled Facebook login.

An example is this: http://www.sttfoto.dk/vat/index.php/113-usc-swimming

In the socialAPI I also disabled Google, Twitter and Pinit. But somehow tweet and pinit still shows in the article.

I really hope you can help me.

Hi.
This is because of cache. You have to disable all compression in template for a while. Then clean Joomla cache.

Site --> Maintenance --> Clear Cache

Then check again. Should be without social icons/links now.
Next you can enable cache & compression in template settings again.

p.s.
You can also disable this block using CSS

Code: Select all
#gkSocialAPI  { display:none;  }

as you wish, you have now two options.

I want to show all of the social icons.

I have tried to do what you wrote. disable compression and delete cache.
But there wasn't any cache to delete.

I don't think the css code is useful, as I am interested in showing all the social icons.

pls

Use my CSS here: Template Manager -> GK Template Name -> then choose the Advanced settings tab --> Custom CSS code.

Details: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... -template/

I am sorry if I'm not being precise about what I would like to do.

If I apply this CODE: #gkSocialAPI { display:none; }, nothing will show. But I want the opposite - I want to show all the social icons.

I can see this message in the safari debugger: [Error] Blocked a frame with origin "http://www.facebook.com" from accessing a frame with origin "http://www.sttfoto.dk". Protocols, domains, and ports must match.
I don't know if it helps.

I have the same problem. Any solution so far?

I only got the Social icons on one page ( a content with the "read more" function). On all other contents (all are category blogs) the social icons won't show up??? Why is that so!!! Any help?

Is there no help here?

Has nobody a solution for that?

Do I really have to change to another template or at least another module/plugin developer?

at least another module/plugin developer?

You can try, why not... there many of them.

In most cases you have to use plugin to have social icons under content.

You have this failure even using different social plugin ? Try to use this: Bang2Joom Social Sharer Plugin or Addthis Joomla! Plugin

p.s.
I saw that Near bottom module "Publikationen" you have hole, maybe it's good place to add social module ?
