Hi.

What for, most of people use modules for it - three clicks no hacking, easy.

If you are using Joomla 2.5
1) https://www.gavick.com/download/joomla- ... ocial.html
2) http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... ocial-gk5/

followed their instruction to where I should put it.

I do not think that they showed where to put in Joomla site. CMS don't have such a simple code like HTML page.

Hi

I put it in the default.php in msocial template/layouts folder, so it was just after the opening body tag.
But sometimes it shows on the site and most other times it doesn't :-)

I am running joomla 3.1. Is the module ready for this?

Sure but from here (modules for J3) --> https://www.gavick.com/download/joomla- ... sions.html
at the bottom -- choose GK Social and download/install.

Modifying a template core to add just simple FB code is ...foolish, better don't do that.
Because you can :
1) Break template
2) Lost those changes when you will upgrade template, because in next few days we will publish versions for Joomla 3.2, than you will be able to upgrade also your Joomla.

I don't want to do anything foolish with the site, so I will remove the fb code. I get the point.

Is the social module avialable for joomla 3.1?
