I'm struggling to get this configuration setup correct. The Gavick demo works, and this is built from the quickstart...
But when I navigate away from the home page and then try to return to it using the main menu (on a touch screen device) it won't select it as it shows it already highlighted...?
Any ideas please?
Thanks.

Hi

You are using a menu which was made for frontpage only where clicking should just move the the other section of the same page. I advice to make a copy of template and a second menu where You will be able to change links to different than anchors from first page.

Thanks for your reply.
It is setup with a duplicate template and new menu with the default page on the second page.
It was made from the QuickStart file and the menu item shoul work in the same way as the 'blog' in the demo.
All works fine on desktops, but just fails to function on touchscreen devices.
Any other ideas?
Thanks.

Hi

In quickstart there are 2 menus. One for frontpage and other for inner pages. For example in menu for frontpage link looks like this:

#bottom1

and while used on frontpage it links to:

www.yourdomain.com/#bottom1

But when same link is used on subpage than a link like that is created which is wrong:

www.yourdomain.com/subpage#bottom1

basicaly this link will look for a #bottom1 anchor on page /subpage

Solution is to make it exactly like in our demo with different menus for frontpage and subpage or if You insist on one menu use links like:

http://www.yourdomain.com/#bottom1

a full path with http:// will ensure the page will be changed first and than site will look for an anchor.
