GK contact plugin translate text inside boxes to danish

Hi,
I'm looking to change the text inside the boxes ("Name", "e-mail"...) into danish. I've looked into the php file of the plugin but I can't find the area to change this text.

I followed the description of the process from the article you posted and I now have both files in my danish language file although the format is not the same i.e. files are now registered as ...gkcontact.sys (instead of gkcontact.sys.ini) and gkcontact.txt (instead of gkcontact.ini). Is this to be expected?

I don't know what you exactly done wrong,
but you have two options:
1) Read this manual maybe is better written and it will help you understand of idea: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/gen ... r-phrases/
of course use tips and language file must be from plugin !

2) Use Language Override option from Joomla, it will help you override only selected phrases without editing any file.

Thanks for the help so far.
I downloaded both .ini files from the en-GB file folder but as soon as I open them with Notepad and save my edits it won't save it in the.ini file format.
I have red all the links you sent and checked my edits were code-sound but I can't get past this basic issue. Any suggestions?

issue solved. was not using Notepad++
