Hello, can you please tell me how to link the new main menu button I just created to:
1.-The new home button to the very beginning of the website.
2.-Some other new main menu buttons to the different modules I will create on the front page.
I tried to do it but is not working as in the traditional joomla 3.2 template.
Thank you very much.

Hello,

In your case you have to create an anchor-based navigation, so you have to create a links to the IDs of specific elements. In example if you want to link to the top of the website you have to create an external link menu item with link #gkTop

Hello, thanks, but I don´t know how to do what you just said. Look, I am beginning with this, and while the template is really great, I am having some problems doing what I need to do. Could you please give me step-by-step instructions?

Thank you!!

Ok, so to do this you will need an ID of the container which will be used for linking - I'll use #gkTop, because it is an ID of the one of the main containers in the template. To create a link in "Home" which will scroll page to the top you have to do following steps:

1) Go to the back-end (yourdomain.com/administrator)
2) Go to the main menu manager (Menus -> Main menu)
3) Select the "Home" menu item and edit
4) In the menu item edit screen click "Select" on option "Menu Item Type"
5) Select "System Links" > "External URL" from the appearing popup
6) Set the "Link" option to "#gkTop"
7) Save the changes

My small mistake - gkTop is a block with the menu so it won't create any sliding effect. Please add an ID in the layouts/default.php file to the one of the containers and the please use it in the links.

If you want to use 3 different main menus, you have to create the 3 instances of the template and assign these menus to it.

Dziudek, I have wasted a lot of time with this issue. I asked you for simple step-by-step instructions, and I received a wrong answer that got me working trying to make it work. It is not fair. I am pretty disappointed with the support I have received from Gavick. It takes a lot of time to get an answer, usually the answer is poor, and the support team asumes all your clients are experts, and we are far from it.

I assumed that Gavick would have the same support quality than Joomla, I was wrong.

However I am already stuck with Gavick, so PLEASE help me to finish this website!!

I sent a mockup of the website I want to Cyberek a few days ago, and I will need to link the main menu to the every module I am working, and I simply don´t get how to do it.

I will sent you the URL so you can see the mockup Cyberek asked me.

Thank you

I want to be fair, Gavick has two very good support persons; Cyberek and Lee.
I wish all your staff could be as good and dedicated as they are.
Thank you

I have provided you a step by step description how to achieve a specific effect - the only variable in this instruction is used ID - it is not hard to run a DevTools in your browser and find an ID of an element which you want to scroll to.
