split mainbody_bottom

I would like to put 2 or more positions on the mainbody_bottom position. Right now they appear underneath each other. I would like them to be next to each other. How can I achieve that?

Also - would you like the modules to split width into half or perhaps in another way?

I have a local install right now. - for demonstration a split of width into 2 halfs would be nice. please advise.

Without access to a live site, I can't help much. Is there a chance you can publish it on a temporary address?
