I started adapting your template on Joomla 3.xx
then i heard that this is a STS till the 3.5.
My old site runs on 2.5.6 and the LTR is on 2.5.14 now.
I was planning to move the old site to a subfolder while
copying all the 3xx Creativity files on the upper main
(is it correct to do so?does it work?with no "config" edit i mean^^?)
in order to complete the transition..
but..as i told you i learnt
STS isn't not intended to be for a real run on an operative site.
What you suggest to me ?
To throw out the window all the worries about 3xx and replace the old joomla with it?
or to start to recreating all the custom work i did on 3xx
but this time on the 2.5.xx?
Also,i cannot understand how to install on a old 2.5.6 joomla
installation the two templates you show on demo and install with quick start,
i mean, the front page and the subpage,
because i did install the Creativity template on this old installation
but i haven't the subpage..and i haven't the second menu and what
is worst as long i can see the old menu links i have
from the old running flawlessly,
well if i put the Creativity on default...when i click on such links
it loads just white pages...and this doesn't met my expectations?

So perhaps i did wrong editing from 3.xx...because as long i can read
on the net STS are not safe.
What's your opinion about it?
Can you share with me a way to recreate the two templates-menu
on an old 2.5.xx system?
Is there out a tutorial?

Thanks for your help.

Hi

Joomla 3 will be easily updated (with one click only) when 3.5 will finally be released, so I would stay with joomla 3 for now.

I do not understand the problem You have. Do You mean that after installing a template You do not see Your site as on a demo ? You should use a quickstart package and install it like a regular joomla installation. If it's not the case, than please try to explain it to me a little more.

Ok..i'll stay with 3.xx then,i really like how i can manage it by my Ipad.

My problem is/WAS that i have an old site with an old
2-5-xx template where i have many K2 ITEMS

So with the LTS concerns i started to think
to just load Creativity template there and rebuild
what i did on ../KRAM3 with you 3xx template.

I found that i had just one Creativity template
and thats fine but when i start to navigate by menu
or maybe by the NSP 5 or anything else..well it was all pointing
to a white page... .

Now i think this is because the links/modules on the
FRONT PAGE template
were calling the sub page which i haven't
so i need to rebuild a menu for a new subpage (as in the demo)
and to associate pages and menu with that.
Am i right?

This is just for my knowledge because your advice on LTS 3.xx Creativity
makes me really relieved and so i'll just copy all the files
from .../cooperam.com/KRAM3/...
(from the KRAM3 folder where Creativity runs now)
to .../cooperam.com/...
I hope this is the right way to do in order to make it run correctly.
Is it?

By the way i really thank you for your
help and your patience during this month and i hope that what you did teach
to me could help many others, thats why i'll collect all "my" edits
in a list i will submit to you if you want to make the others reach
my same goals and results by putting it in the override.

Thank you so much.

Hi

K2 is using an exact the same files for 2.5 and 3.0, so there is no difference about that, but during the update id's may have changed so the best way would be to rebuild the menu as You said. Also You need to install J3.0 versions of our modules. We do not have a single option for both joomlas.

Hi

Yes this method works in 90% cases. Rest can bring some troubles if extensions, mostly cache, sef, and other which are storing paths are installed and not reconfigured after moving.

Hi

The only way to be sure it is working is to try it :) and worry later if there are problems.
