Hi,

I'm having trouble installing quickstart. Am getting the following message

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.ushtara.com/test/creativity/ ... /index.php. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

Other installations of 3.0 are working fine. Have the right .htaccess and php.ini so that magic quotes is turned off.

Thanks,

Hi,
1) http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... -fix-them/
2) When you have this error before installation, during (which step), after ???
You have to describe more, I'm not a wizard.

All our quickstart are tested on different servers and by different users.
Unfortunately, in general, the problems stem from the server settings.

Our QS uses J3.1 not J3.0.

/installation folder is from joomla not from gavick, our is only .sql database files, which are not loader by first steps of installation.

Maybe you made a mistake in php.ini/htaccess file? Ask your hosting support, they know their server better then we could.

Hi Pawel,

Thanks for your response, I dont think its server problem as other installations are working and so too the joomla 3.1 from the joomla official website.

First I unzip the quickstart and then fix the .htaccess and php.ini .

Before fixing the .htaccess and php.ini I get the message to turn off Magic Quotes GPC.

I then proceed to type www.mydomain.com/administrator

after this the error comes as mentioned.

Hope this helps.

Hard to say,
second solution is to install empty J3.1 and after that install just a template + modules.
and quickstart install on your localhost to see how it works.
