Hello,
I'd love to have the language switcher module always on the top of my website (close to the logo and the main menu), but I just can't get to do it...
Following the module position schema found here: http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/creativ ... -positions, I tried to publish my switcher in all the three position (logo, mainmenu, userarea) but it simply did not appear.
I tried then to publish in "login" position (that is the one where the login button that I don't use was published) and what happened? The login button (even if unpublished) appeared in its original position, but the switcher did not.

Anyone can help solving this?

Thank you very much,

Matteo

This are not regular module positions and marked on module positions graphic with different color. You can't use them like every other module position. More details you will find here » http://www.gavick.com/documentation/general-questions/how-to-see-and-use-all-module-positions-in-gk-templates/

Hello bkrztuk,
I've read the article you posted and looks like there's no way to use that positions to publish my language switcher module...am I right?
If I'm wrong and there's in fact some way to use a "core" position, could you please address me to the right thing to do?
If I'm right...do you have any suggestion on how can I have the switcher available and visible always on the top of the page as I need?

Thank you very much

You can use 'lang' position for publish language module but you may also add your own module position - this is probably the best solution for custom template changes. More about adding new module position you will find here » How to add a new module position ? This is step by step tutorial with all necessary template code changes described.

Dear bkrztuk,
sorry for the late reply.

Thank you very much! You have my problem solved!

I add a new module position on the topbar...and now it perfectly works...

...still having some troubles in handling the various widths on mobile version though...but I'll figure it out!

Please note that in template settings you can set screen resolution when mobile/tablet mode is activated. If you still have problems please provide us some screenshot with this issue.

Dear bkrztuk,
thank you very much. I'll finish setting up the site, then, when in fine-tuning mode, I'll try to figure out what's going on and, in case, I'll post here some screenshots. Thank you very much,

M

Problem solved also in mobile visualization. The problem was due to a too long text logo...I put an icon instead and things went smooth at their place....lovely.

Thank you again,
