How to show a PDF file in modal view?

I would like to be able to show in a modal view / or similar a PDF file linked from a main menu item.

Is using the Image Show GK4 a solution?

Any ideas on how to do this the best way with you modules?

As I know the modal window doesn't supports the PDF files so it won't be possible.

Well, actually I managed to do so with nonumber.nl plugin called Modal.

Glad to finally contribute with some knowledge ... not just asking

I mean the Joomla! core modal script

But good to know that there is other solution - thank you for the tip
