Is my template up to date?

I have installed the template using the quick start. I discovered that the version nr is not up to date so I re-installed the template ... but still I see that when I go to update in the template manager it says I need to download a new version.

Please explain.

What version you see in template settings ? What is your Joomla! version ? 2.5 or 3.x ?

I have Joomla 2.5.14 and I see both v. 3.8.1 and v 3.9.

Could you provide me access to your website ? For sure you can always overwrite via FTP the templateDetails.xml file again.

I would like to be 100% sure that I am using the latest template version.

Before any update have i to save all the edited files ?or the update will "retain" the mods we made?

Hi, I am not sure what you mean. But please go ahead and make any changes and modifications you neend to do.

I have a backup

Due to the worthy work i did with this forum precious support i wanna save and have the same
modification after having had the update so i will back up all marking all the files i modded..just in case
..to substitute if missing
